Mission Statement
Pawstrong Animal Cancer Foundation is founded on the principles of providing hope, caring and innovation in the fight against canine and feline cancer. Our mission aims are designed to achieve this through two areas of focus. Firstly, through support of cutting edge research programs with proven track records of advancing the diagnosis and treatment of animal cancers. A special emphasis will be placed on institutes with collaborative human/veterinary studies as we believe strongly that both people and animals will best benefit through research done in animal patients with spontaneous tumor models. Secondly, we aim to provide financial and emotional support to senior citizens on fixed incomes whose beloved companion animals have been afflicted by this devastating disease. To achieve this aim we hope to partner with some of the leading veterinary cancer groups devoted to providing the highest quality medical, surgical and radiation oncology services for animals with cancer.
Pawstrong has been founded by individuals who have all been personally affected by cancer in our companions and we understand the emotional burden a diagnosis of cancer can place on an individual or family. Unfortunately, the prevalence of this disease is very high and getting worse. We know there are many others whose lives have been affected and we would like to appeal to those of you who have a heart to help to consider a donation or to contact us with any way you may be able to advance the cause.
